The Human Resources Officer will provide hands-on, on-site HR support to approximately 120 employees
and will be the primary day-to-day HR contact for employees and managers.

• Administer and validate weekly payroll using ADP, including review and correction of employee timesheets, absences, bonuses, commissions, reimbursements, manual entries, payroll outputs, summaries and reports.
• Serve as the first point of contact for approximately 120 employees for day-to-day HR questions and requests relating to payroll, attendance, benefits, leave, policies, documentation and general employee support, in both English and Spanish as needed.
• Maintain a visible, approachable and hands-on HR presence on site, building trusted relationships with production employees, office employees and managers and supporting the prompt resolution of employee-relations issues.
• Manage and regularly review HR policies, procedures and documentation, including the employee handbook, in alignment with Company requirements and the ISO 9001 standard.
• Maintain job descriptions and support their consistency and compliance with Department
  Managers; manage training documentation and employee skill matrices, including the ENU019 process required for applicable pay-rate changes.
• Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR data in Company files and
   n ADP, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity.
• Manage hiring, onboarding, employee changes and terminations in compliance with applicable federal, New York State and local requirements; ensure I-9 forms, work authorizations and required documentation are complete and current.
• Coordinate recruitment based on workforce needs defined with the General Manager and Department Managers, for both production/hourly employees and office/salaried employees.
• Support managers on employee-relations maers including attendance, performance, disciplinary actions, pay-rate changes, doctor notes, FMLA/PFL/DBL leaves, training and other daily HR topics.
• Prepare monthly HR reporting for the U.S. business and the Group and provide additional reports requested by the General Manager, Accounting/Controlling or Group HR in Belgium.
• Manage communications and administration relating to Union Representatives, including required follow-up and review/approval of Union-related payments.
• Maintain required occupational-safety and regulatory HR administration, including OSHA Injury Tracking Application (ITA) submissions, workers’ compensation follow-up, fire-drill support and Group reporting for workplace accidents.
• Coordinate employee-engagement activities such as lunches, outings and Company events within the approved budget; support performance evaluations, vacation and bonus accruals and other recurring HR processes.
• Ensure HR practices remain compliant with applicable U.S. federal, New York State and local employment requirements through regular monitoring of HR and labor-law developments.
• Support general site administration as required, including insurance policies, Company vehicles,
  office supplies, administrative enquiries and HR/compliance/ethics or certification audits such as
  SMETA; perform other reasonable duties assigned by the General Manager or Group HR Director.
